remoteUPCLab not available

Dear users,

today we had to dismantle the current remoteUPCLab test setup to ship back the T&M equipment kindly provided by Rohde & Schwarz to organize the IMS2017 Power Amplifier Linearization through DPD student design competition.

Once again, we want to thank Rohde & Schwarz and the IEEE MTT-S for supporting this nice competition. Last but not least, we want also to thank all the student teams for participating in this year’s initiative.

Looking forward to your participation in next year’s IMS DPD competition!

Test setup and scoring formula update

As you may have already noticed, during the last days some maintenance operations have been conducted in the remoteUPCLab. The ET-PA evaluation board has also been reconfigured to allow higher output power levels for the targeted dual-band scenario and show further realistic performance levels. The scoring formula has been updated accordingly and the baseline target goals regarding output power level, NMSE and power ratio between bands have been upgraded.

Best regards,
The IMS2017 SDC team

R&S DPD Cup Online Competition

It is our pleasure to inform you that, for the first time in the history of the DPD competition, in this edition you will be able to participate in two DPD competitions for the price of one!

A new website menu has been added to include the information of the Rohde and Schwarz DPD Cup Online Competition to be held between the 22nd and 26th of May 2017. Please bear in mind that only the already registered teams to the IMS2017 DPD SDC can participate in the online competition.

Almost ready for IMS2017

During the last days the website has been populated with all the information required to participate in this year’s competition. In Competition Details you will find the user instructions and MATLAB scripts needed to play with the remoteUPCLab and to get a score! Information about minor changes being applied to the competition rules, access mechanisms/scripts or to the scoring system will be announced in the News page. Same applies to any planned down-period. We have also the STATUS indicator (upper right side in every website page) that will notify whether remoteUPCLab is up and running (or not).

Improved website performance

For the IMS2017 Student Design Competition we decided to relaunch the website due to some performance issues. The website functionality remains the same, but unfortunately the old news posts are no longer available. Thank you for your understanding.
